The MaharshiDayanandCollege is the dynamic, vibrant and growth oriented sovereign co-educational institution, which is affiliated to UGC recognizedand State Government University- Maharaja Ganga Singh University, Bikaner. Championing the ethos of rationality and modernity for the intellectual advancement, the multi faculty premier institution with highly qualified faculty is imparting quality education in allthe three streams: Science, Commerce and Arts& Social studies from graduate level to doctoral level.

Maharshi Dayanand College, the luminous galaxy of the educational universe was founded in 1968. Starting with science faculty at graduate level and expanded to commerce faculty in 1971, commerce post graduation in 1975, post graduation in chemistry & Botany in 1989. Widening its horizons, Arts stream was started in 1994 at graduate level. The college is continuously adding the subjects and offering wide choice to the students.

An interactive teaching learning process is the distinctive characteristics of our institution. Students are generally taught by lecture methods, project based and computer assisted learning is also used. In all the science subjects experiment learning is essentially practised and in senior classes seminars are regularly organized.

We recognize the importance of providing support and guidance to research students at every stage of their work, at planning research, at laboratory work/field work, at writing and at examination, to ensure that the programme progresses at the right pace in the right direction.

Ours is a student’s oriented institution, a place for free thinking, which is committed to groom, chisel and polish the potentiality of the students and make them capable to serve the society.

Ours is a vibrant and friendly community where one has an opportunity to meet students from different states besides Rajasthanviz. Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu &Kashmir, Delhi, Uttrakhand, and Utter Pradesh.
